Just brought our first group of golfers here for a weekend trip and was blown away. Have been to every other golf resort in Minnesota and the overall combo here of a) great course in immaculate condition, b) easy 2.5 hour drive up 65 from the Twin Cities, c) beautiful clubhouse with great food, d) great practice facility, e) unbelievable accommodations, f) affordability and g) friendly, relaxed and welcoming staff makes Minnesota National tough to beat. We will be back...OFTEN. When there, try to stay in the executive cabin or townhomes - those places are nicer than the Parade of Homes. Tip: Buy the superintendent a "thank you" beer - the course when we played on August 20 was in the best overall condition of any course we've EVER played. Their Ohio best sand bunkers and pure rolling greens put the icing on the cake of this gem of a layout.
Bottom Line: Try it. You'll probably add it to your "Top 5 favorite courses" list...we have.

Our daughter and new son-in-law were married last weekend and the reception and dance were held at Minnesota National. The service was great and we had lots of compliments on the food as well! We had 300 people for the dinner and an additional 40+ for the dance - the dinner was served quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up in no time. We were very pleased with the whole evening! A big thank you to Tiffany, the bar tenders and the rest of the staff for making the night a success!
